I need gift help please

I hope people that you lovely people (who shop a lot and seem to be in the know) on here can help me with engagement party gift ideas? (this is for my son & fiance). I have never been to an engagement party in my life. (Just never had them in our family. Showers, yes, but not engagement parties).

Please no alcohol items. They do not drink alchohol. Well I guess for future guests in their home it would be ok?, but well we are pretty much anti-alcohol.

PS Someone else said gifts optional for engagement parties but not necessary? Its more for the family and wedding party to meet/get together? But DH and I are going to get something, and I looked online and it had some ideas, nothing that really said wow.
