I make so many typos. I’m always having to return to posts to edit. My iPad makes the problem even worse. It will change the words I type.

Definitely not.  I'm always editing my posts, even after I've proofread them.

You can always turn off 'auto-correct' and the iPad won't change what you've typed.  But I make so many mistakes myself that when I tried that, it was worse!😆

@Mindy D, you're certainly not alone in that... and any device can be less than helpful.  On the iPad, you have the option of disabling the autocorrect feature, if you want to.  It's in Settings, General, Auto-Correction.  
(eta: oops, didn't see your post while I was slowly fat-fingering my reply on my iPad, @geezerette!  GMTA!)

It happens to me too. Have no fear if you don't catch the mistake there is someone on the board that has nothing better to do then point our our mistakes! I say give them something to do, and don't worry about it!

 a typo can make a much better story

once while reading a lengthy story here the person wrote "screeching peasants" instead of "screeching pheasants" (and this wanted to change screeching to scratching)
