I went into my preference and settings page and made some changes. I changed the number of posts and topics per page. I also changed the way the threads display to Forum Style and I really like it. You can see who created it plus read the first couple of lines without opening the thread.
However, I still don't like how they condensed so many of the forums.

I did that too about three hours ago. But then got back on the Website and it had all gone back to the earlier model! These "new" procedures are becoming too much trouble to use....

I just realized that the above only seems to work if you are in View All Forums. It didn't work when I went into Community Chat.

I don't like that the OP is not at the top of the page, when there are multiple pages of replies.
I have my settings to see the newest post first, so when I open the thread the OP is not on that page or waaaaaaaay at the bottom.
The old forums had it displayed at the top.
Is there a way to change and still keep the newest posts displayed?

I'm glad more and more people are checking out the preferences and settings. This morning I checked out all of them and changed quite a few.
ITA that the 'Forum Only View' was one of the best things to make it easier to navigate. Before I did that i was kind of lost.

I was just playing around with that myself. If you go to your prefences, you will see one that says "Linear layout".....click it to oldest first and the thread itself should display in that order.

Geesh, I've been reading and making adjustments for the last 1hr&1/2....
I can see it's going to be a slow go for me.

Did you save your new preferences after you made the changes?
