The hosts tell us every other couple minutes how many are being ordered. Have you ever wonder, like I have, how many of these thousands of orders of an item are returned? Best thing I've found is go to the item and see what kind of reviews the item has gotten. It seems like more than not, most items are getting 2-3 stars but are being presented as the BEST, the COOLEST, the TASTIEST, the CREAMIEST, etc...

Someone had posted a percentage here on these forums, the percent of items that get returned. I am sure it is available somewhere. But I remember being surprised at how high it was. Maybe someone remembers the number.

@Puppy Lips I wouldn't be surprised. I'm in that group of returners due to failure on the host/vendor to describe the item honestly and accurately. I don't have that problem with, say J.Crew. Rarely return due to quality. And think of the $$$ the Q makes off of charging us return shipping! CHA-CHING!

@hippiechick7897 I took a 6 month sabbatical from the Q-no ordering and no watching. I had to break the cycle. Was getting very annoyed that rarely did I open a package and a wow came out. Plus, the inconsistency in sizing, even within the same brand. Quality is another long story. It may be what keeps them in business is the refund fees they charge us...

@Puppy Lips It seems highly unlikely that QVC would post or announce their return rate anywhere. They are extremely secretive about lesser things than that, so why would they post their rate of returns which should be kept secret? The truth is, nobody knows.

Lots and Lots are returned according to postings here. I've read some sent 4 things back for credit or exchange.
Bet the number would be shocking

There is no way to draw a valid conclusion about returns based on postings here. Very often it is the same posters that return over and over.
Those that post here represent a tiny microcosm of sales and I doubt that if the return rate on an item or brand was excessive in comparison to sales the line would not be dropped as soon as contractually possible.

I can't imagine that figure is available either.
I do remember people posting what their own return number was that caused them to receive a "too many returns" letter. That amount was staggering and left me wondering why on earth they would continue to shop with QVC.

I believe the return rate, while significant, isn't as high as one would expect.
My guess is that you have a lot of elderly people who shop a great deal on QVC. Having to pack up an item and get it shipped out can be a hassle or ridiculously costly so they just end up keeping it or even giving it away. I once saw a house of a lady who passed and there were tons of QVC boxes in the house, some unopened. QVC is a friend for many and making a lot of purchases comes with that.
I do think more people cancel orders. I've noticed that an item can be "sold out" but if you wait a few hours it will come back in stock because either it was dropped out of their cart or they had buyer's remorse and cancelled the whole thing.
