I'm starting to really hate my hair

Just venting.

I'm growing it out and I'm getting close to my goal; right now it's all one length, past my chin, brushing my collarbone, and should be shoulder length in the not too distanct furture. I've never had long hair and decided that it's time for me to have it so I've been patiently growing in for the last 18 months or so; it was neck length short layers when I started.

It's in that horrible, in-between stage and my ends are a fried-up mess. My hair is heavy and my face is wider in the chin area and rather small on top--I guess you could say I'm a pin-head. This heavy hair hanging down to my collarbone exaggerates the pin-head look. I'd pull it back in a pony tail (or the double layer pony tail or a french braid) but with the problems I have with my shoulders and neck, it hurts almost too much to be worth it.

I don't even like to wear turtle necks because my hair gets all tangled in the collar and I have to keep constantly pulling it out.

Next week I'm due for a trim and it'll be all I can do not to have my long-time stylist just whack it all off. I won't, not when I'm so close to my goal, but we're going to have to do something--I'm thinking of having her cut some layers on the top.

Whew! Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.
