The ONLY reason I joined, was because my EMPLOYER insisted on it.

Eee gad why are you clicking on any ads?? It follows what you look at therefore gives you more of the same. So if you are viewing lewd ads you'll multiply the amount you normally get. I NEVER click on any ads. My Facebook runs fast like everything else I view on-line. Love my Facebook! I'm able to keep in touch so easy now!

FTLOG, She is not clicking on porn ads. She is getting sidebars about other lewd sites when she is reading articles. And BTW, why would you never click on an ad? If a Nordstrom ad pops up showing me boots are on sale that I looked at last week, I am going to click that ad to take me to that site and see the sale.

The ad block has taken care of it - but if you think that yoiur kids would not see this if they opened the wrong site - you are very naive.
I've been on Facebook for well over five years, and I have never had anything like what you are discribing happen to me on Facebook.
I've never had any of those ads, or porn stuff on my facebook page.
Ever.

plesse once again, read the part I bolded. She keeps using the term "ad" but then states what she is really talking about is the other stuff surrounding the article or video she loaded that she WAS interested in.

I'm on Safari - never seen anything like that ever.
I don't click on ads. If I want to see something from a retailer, I go to that site.

I think if some of you are not getting the sites - or ads for the sites I was seeing it is because you are not opening any other sites except the ones your friends and family post. I will open sites for other subjects I think would be interesting to read, and I have every right to do so, without being subjected to these horrible pages showing up.
As I said before , the ad blocker has worked wonders. Thanks to those who suggested it.

While I certainly am in the minority, I would NEVER go on Facebook. My friend joined when it first started and tried to cancel, it is not possible to permanently delete your account no matter what they say. All these years of not going to the site, yesterday she got 150 emails coming to her from facebook! Someone must have hacked her and there is no way to contact Facebook without logging in which, of course, she would never do. This is a real problem that they offer no customer support other than online. This has put her in a real dimena to get this rectified. Scary.

I was just on Facebook, like 1 minute ago, and nope, no dirty ads or videos, or anything nefarious.

IF I had a husband, and IF ads for porn started mysteriously appearing in my FB news feed or side ads, I would seriously wonder what HE was looking at when I wasn't around. These things just don't appear without provocation.
