I found a Christmas present for DH that I know he's going to love! It was a struggle to find it much less order it but it'll be worth the trouble.

I think it was on one of Dave V.'s cooking shows; it's a gadget for stopping boil-overs. I believe the material is silicone; you place it over the top of a pot--like you would a lid--and if what you're cooking boils over, the liquid goes into the spill-stopper, rather than run down the sides of your pot, onto your stove, or floor, or whatever.

I looked at it and thought, WHY didn't someone think of this before? It just seems so obvious...anyway, I couldn't find it on the QVC site and I did find it on the Sur La Table site so I tried to order it on-line. Fat chance! Their site had crashed so I called the 800 line and with the help of a very nice man named Steve, placed my order just now.

There are two sizes of this thing and I got one in each. I know my hubby will just LOVE it and I can't wait to see his enjoyment. I'm sure he'll use in on every pot and pan in the house, whether it needs it or not. Merry Christmas, honey!
