I'm really peeved

About a month ago I splurged and bought a blanket from Lands End. It wasn't cheap; it cost $150.

Today I washed it for the first time, using cold water and a "delicate" setting and when I removed it from my washing machine, it had HOLES in it.

I started ranting and raving and my DH said, "they aren't that bad" but I toldhim if I pay that kind of money for a blanket, it should last longer than 1 month and it shouldn't disintegrate in the washing machine. I'm going to call Lands End tomorrow and tell them I want a refund; if a blanket is so flimsy, I don't want another one.

Whew!

Thats really strange, was it machine washable? I am assuming it is? Is it wool? Wondering if it got eaten by moths at some point? I don't blame you I wouldnt want another one.

I wouldn't be happy either. $150 for a blanket with holes?

I bought the 100% cotton Maine Twill Blanket from LL Bean. I have it on the bed until it gets really cold. I think I paid $149 with $10 off coupon for the king size. It's $169 now. I think it's a nice blanket.

Yikes! That's a bit weird.... they may want you to send them some photos of the holes.

If you don't mind my asking, what are the fabric content percentages? What did the label say about how to wash it?

I've experience poor quality in a top I purchased from Lands End...that was the beginning and the end of me dealing with them.

@GoneButNotForgotten Lands End I believe has the same satisfaction guaranteed as LL Bean has. You can return items up to a year for a full refund. Sorry for your disappointment, I don't feel LE is up to the quality of Bean but this can ocurr with any retailer.

I have several blankets from Lands End and LLBean. None of mine have ever done that.

So stop ranting. Send it back if you want. The world isn't ending.

When I want to purchase something that will last whether for the home or clothing, LandsEnd and LL Bean are my go tos. I have tees and exercise pants from LandsEnd that I've had for maybe 10 yrs. and washed weekly....no issues.

Both do stand behind thir products. A call to CS with an explanation will give you satisfaction.
