You must lead a charmed life.

I wish that were my biggest problem. I have a chronic disease and it's getting worse so, no, changing the day of my garbage collection would be just about the least of my worries.

Thanks for all your posts. I've started feeling like this lately. Tonight my partner and I were headed out for our very regular Saturday night dinner. At some point, I looked up in the car and couldn't easily figure out what day it was or what road we were on. Scary feeling. I'm only 49. This should not happen! Y'all make me feel better, thanks. Covid brain is real.

@QVCkitty1

Dont feel bad...when a person is home all the time whether working from home or retired  or quarantined, sometimes the days and time just get away from us.....

My sister has been working from home normally she travels all around the city in her car....and she thought Friday was Tuesday and was telling me about her appointments....and I said but isn't that on Tuesday, today's Friday and her comment was....IT IS?!?!?!?!? So dont feel bad....sometimes I think Thursday feels like a Friday...

I work as a psychiatric nurse and one of the questions I ask during triage is:

Do you know today's date?

The majority of my patients seem to have trouble with this one.  Just thought I'd mention it.

Re: I’m losing it ! 😡

[ Edited ]

I have been confused about what day it is since all of this staying home started. To make things more confusing, my husband has recently stopped working on Fridays. I saw the UPS guy one day and was shocked to see him on Saturday only to discover, when I looked at my phone, that it was Friday! If my husband is home, I still think it's Satuday or Sunday! I have started looking at the keypad on our security when I get up in the morning to see what day it is! Glad I am not the only one!

I had heard that a lot of doctors aren't bothering with that dementia test on the annual visit unless the patient says they have a problem.  Sure enough, didn't happen on my recent visit.  Honestly, this has been the worst year on knowing what day it is.  I'm lucky to know the month.  I just about decided to not bother buying a 2021 planner until I see some kind of normal.  No, I'm not stuck at home, but it sure is limited where to go and still enjoy it.  Ugh.  The mind is a terrible thing to waste.......

HA!   I remember seeing Willima Shatner on this TV show when it first aired many, many moons ago.  Twight Zone maybe? Can't remember for sure but do remember the episode.  :smileywink:

@akaburtonfan   LOL  We are such creatures of habit, aren't we.

We have a recyle/organic day and a different trash day and it seems our weeks revolve around those two days now.

You're not alone!  After I retired, I didn't really think I would do this -- I mean, not knowing the day of the week, etc.!  When you work you are so aware of dates, time, holidays, etc.  After you retire, most of this has no particular meaning!  And now with this stupid virus and being stick most of the time in the house --- it's even worse!  You know it's sad when you look forward to going to the doctor just to get out of the house!

I ask myself, "Is the garbage being picked up today?" This helps me figure it out. Woman LOL
