I thought mentioning other sites was also against the innumerable rules.

@ChancesMom wrote:I agree - I use to like the discussions even if I did not agree with the poster. This new forum is too restricted. I have a feeling it will hurt Q's sales. I don't check into the forums anywhere near as much as I use to-therefore, I don't see as many posts about products.
Maybe - but that wouldn't be true for me. It's been several years since anything said on these fporums sent me to purchase an item from QVC. In fact, I often wondered why they even spent their money continuing the boards, but I assume the ...ionsitas from several of the major forum groups do enable each other. I don't own anything except a bit of WEN from any of the products most posters seem to be interested in. No Ripka, no Line, no Logo in my house --and so far not one post has convinced me I should.
As much as I like political discussion, I actually don't think it belongs here. Why should shopping company open itself to such divisive material?

IMO.....what's good for the goose is not good for the gander.....depends on who you are. What's OK for one poster may not be OK for another.
In addition, I like a lot of posters who post here.

I guess the OP missed the respectful discussion about Thursday night or the DT discussion that was respectful as well so perhaps she needs to not lump ALL discussions being limited in one basket.
I know you (in general) can't be here for everything but still.

...............I agree....something in between would be so much better. I can remember how the kids in school very much disliked the teacher that kept everyone after class because of a couple troublemakers. No one wanted to get her for a teacher. That is what it promotes.

And for every poster who is bored to tears (yet sticks around to discuss it), there is another, or another 2-3 who are encouraged by the newly enforced civility, those who post more now than on the old forums, and those who left the old forums due to the catfights and are happy to see them gone. And just plain old new posters. Maybe as many as the new posters who seem to know everyone already.

@Melania i agree! those were good discussions and lasted quite awhile.....it was nice to see it stay civil in that moment it was happening.
