I always dread Jury Duty - but, end up having a good experience and meet nice people. For me, the biggest obstacle is having to drive downtown.
Hope you get your wish, Syl.

Im surprised they allow cellphones while in the process.
I would not mind jury duty if I was in better health and could still drive etc. If healthy I would love to go!
My husband always wants to go and has gotten a paper many times. But when he calls the night before, his number is never listed so he has never had to show up.
I think they should take volunteers because I know others like my husband who would like to serve.

I'm surprised the OP hasn't been spanked yet by some of our more civic minded members. LOLOLOL!!!!

I don't think serving on a jury is a bad thing and I don't understand why people don't want to do it.
However, if a juror has a bad attitude, doesn't want to be there, I sure as heck wouldn't want them on ANY case. Too many lives could be in jeopardy and that negative juror could have a lasting impact on somebody's life.
