I'm going to be having Olympic withdrawals again!

[ Edited ]

It happens everytime the Olympics end...Summer or Winter...LOL

My DH and I watch them as much as we can every day from the opening ceremony through to the end of the closing ceremony (watching it now). Most nights we watch the rerun too!

Glad that the Paralympics will be on TV this time around (starts Sept 7th). In the past they mostly just showed the opening and closing ceremonies on tv and we had to watch most of the competitions on our putes...

I've watched many events.  It was most fun during the two weekends when my daughter was here, and we watched together.

@Susan Louise

i am going to be going through withdrawals also!

i have on the closing ceremonies now. i think overall, with the budget they had and the problems they faced, RIO did a fine job of putting on these olympics.

i watched so many different sports and had the tv tuned into the olympics almost all day long at work and at home. i even watched GOLF! lol

it has been a fun and entertaining 17 days! i am already looking forward to the winter games in 2018 in south korea and the summer games in tokyo in 2020. goodbye brazil..... and thank you.....

Me too! I still have a few recordings to go through, including the closing ceremonies but will probably finish it all up by tomorrow. But then a few of my favorite series are coming back on soon so that will keep my occupied but yeah, I really enjoy watching the Olympics and am always a bit sad when they end.

 I enjoyed and watched a lot of these Olympics.....truly enjoyed the swimming, diving, volleyball and gymnastics......I DVR'd a lot of them and will watch some of them throughout the next week or so. We watched some live but DVR'd much more.

I love that they changed the Olympics to be every 2 years instead of both the Summer and Winter being in the same year.

Re: I'm going to be having Olympic withdrawals again!

I watched the Olympics more this year than I have of the past 4 or 5 olympic games (summer & winter).  I really enjoyed it but I will be glad to get back to more of a normal routine.  I don't  get much done when I'm so wrapped up in them for two weeks.  Of course, I'd like it if NBC would cater to my favorite sports and have less commercials but I don't think that's going to happen any time soon.  LOL!

I had the closing ceremonies on last night while I was on my laptop.  I must have been engrossed in something online because I never saw the flame extinguished (which is what I was really wanting to see) and the next thing I knew a commercial for The Voice was on....which happened to not be a commercial but the actual show.  Oh well, I'm thankful for Youtube.
