I'm glad Delivery drivers have to take a picture of the delivery !

I had 2 deliveries that UPS tracking said would be delivered today. Now here's what happened. One was from HSN and it said out for delivery today on the tracking email but on the website it said the package had been delivered this morning. NOPE !  The other was from QVC which the tracking email said there was a delay on Friday's delivery date because of the weather ( we had a snowstorm on Friday, lots of delays) then on Saturday the email said it was returned to sender because of difficult figuring out the address to deliver the package to (weird)  So looking at the email delivery status this morning( I wanted to see what the status was of the return to QVC) Tracking said the package was out for delivery to me !!! Whaat ??  They said they couldn't read the label as to where it was going Saturday !!

So I've been waiting all day for these packages because of the confusion on the tracking.

Low and behold it was 7:30 tonight when UPS delivered both packages. When the driver delivered he took a picture of the packages at my door. I've never experienced that kind of delivery issue with UPS. Maybe it was due to the Holiday ? I just had to vent a little Woman LOL

@Goodie2shoes.  Don't try to analyze the situation.  Just thank the UPS Gods that your packages are safely home.  The weather probably threw them into a state of confusion.

@Goodie2shoes

As long as we have weather, any kind of weather, we'll have delivery problems.  LOL

I am glad that the UPS gods (small but important "g") were there for you! Despite a very occasional issue, usually resolved, I think that they do a great job overall under often difficult conditions,

Agree with the other posters @Goodie2shoes about the weather throwing the proverbial monkey wrench. I like to track my packages too all along the line. It seems the package histories are getting more shall we say creative in their language.

Just last month in the middle of a snow event, a packaged surprisingly showed delivered. Alas, it was not received by me. However, it did manage to make it to my house two weeks later unannouced, and a little worse for the wear. Go figure. Perhaps my QVC fairy godmother rescued it from the depths of Hades. Woman LOL

@Goodie2shoes Standard fare here for UPS.  They don't have a clue where these packages are and a few of the drivers just aren't reliable.

Stuff happens. If there is bad weather locally or at any UPS hub or other issues, it can change delivery timing. It is what it is.

Relax and let the packages take their course.

UPS is about as reliable as it gets in the delivery world. Weather related issues are beyond their control and the app that provides updates as to where packages are is not always completely accurate. Our UPS driver is awesome and he usually runs like clock work.  Those drivers are under extreme pressure to keep on time.

I know someone who recently had an Amazon package delivered by UPS and the e-mail confirmation he received was a picture of his lawn and not the package.

i was supposed to get somthing today (from QVC) but I got a attention mark with the words delay.  So I won''t get it today.  Didn't think about snow, but most probably it was.  We've been balmy here with rain instead of snow.
