Can't imagine expecting (or asking) others to entertain me if I'm bored. I'm more likely to pick up a book or do a puzzle.

I've been in waiting rooms at doctors' offices and have been bored (before cellphones). I read the magazines but the long wait for the doctor is tedious and boring.

Anyone who says they've never been bored probably don't recall the times when they were.

Stuck in a traffic jam for a long time gets boring even with music on.

Sitting in a snoozer movie that goes nowhere can be boring but you can always walk out of the theater.

I've been bored at the Opera and once at a Giant's football game. Not all operas or sporting events are boring but a few in particular were.

I don't believe that only boring people get bored.

Make sure you have a book with you wherever you go, you won't be bored.

Stuck in traffic? Keep a book on tape in your car or for your bluetooth, we listened to a reading of the war of 1066 all the way to Portland once.

Walk out of the boring opera or game, or tune into your iPod download.

Or... just think or make plans in your head. I do that every time I go to the dentist. I plan events or menus, or ponder how to solve a problem.

Yes, it is! DD and I have iPads which can function that way, also. DH got a Samsung that's smaller, easier for him to take out to read and carry around. He told me the other day the books he already has downloaded are backing up!

He's always downloading iPod lectures, too. That man is never bored, LOL. If he's alone in a room or elsewhere, he's always got some cord dangling from an earpiece.
