Seems logical to take the best of two jobs. If previous company's HR people offer you a job, I'd say you brought something good to that job and are considered valuable.

A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
I'm a list person...............make 2 columns, pro's vs. con's of both of these ideas. Be honest with how you really feel. You'd be the best person to know you and what you really want. In writing and in front of you to review, might help. Just a thought.

@Laura14 Didn't you say they (your current employers) asked you to stay longer to train new people? If that's the case I would be very suspicious of their "offer"....I'm sure once the training is done they would feel no guilt in giving you walking papers again.
For myself....if a company considered me expendable I would go elsewhere, given the opportunity.
Good luck making decisions that seem right for you ...I know it is stressful!

@CelticCrafter Nope which is what throws me a bit to the take it side.

@Travone I thought about that! Take it until maybe the other ones coughs it up. I'm really trying to take care of me instead of feeling guilty about leaving someone behind.

@gidgetgh Moving is definitely in the back of my mind and something that will be a definite probably sooner rather later. Being able to transfer with a job even part time is the biggest pull.

@Laura14 you need to do what you think is the right thing for you. You don't sound like you're that thrilled with the job that you interviewed for. I don't know if I would jump at the first offer, you never know what's just around the bend. Good luck with whatever you decide.

@Cakers3 This is really helpful. Thank you ❤️
@deepwaterdotter Nope. It was let us know your availability when you know about the first job and we'll go from there. The whole interview just came across as a formality. I'm not sure if it was because everyone's new and knows nothing or if they just want a body or if my coworker's wife saying just hire her she's fantastic before I even showed already sealed the deal. But point taken. ![]()

@cowboy sam I am so overqualified it's not funny in some areas but I am new to the practical job save for my externship of 5 weeks. To be honest, I don't think this manager knows there is a huge difference between certified and non-certified.

i would strongly consider staying with a desk job v. part time pharmacy tech. Do you really want part-time pay, be on your feet all day, counting pills - double counting pills, serving sick people, lots of sick people, being yelled at because their co-pay is too high or they didn't bother to read and understand their insurance coverage and thats why they don't get refills after 15 days. not to mention managers and co-workers who may not be as pleasant as you would like.
if you can't stomach the new owners which it sounds like then wait to collect UP. take this time to review your skills and consider what your ideal work day would be like. it seems like you take so many things personally. It's standard to get training in a new position with a new company. Those interview questions are derigeuer for most positions whether retail or corporate. it seems you have been living in a bubble for most your worklife. There is a structure the work world, whether you are in job search mode or hold a position. you have to play the game. That is how it is unless you are your own boss - and even then, you have to play the game. good luck!
