Re: I'm Still Stunned.... Warning.... Long explanation.

So the o/p can have eggs,  just not a steady diet of them ( 3 - 4 times a week).

Why not just have eggs one day a week, or one day every other week?

Eggs that seldom is not going to have an adverse reaction to any cholesterol numbers.

If the o/p was so concerned about eggs and cholesterol numbers, she'd stay away from them entirely and completely 100% of the time, no exceptions.

The fact that she doesn't, and "treats herself" on occasion, tells me that it' a choice to not eat eggs, and not a need, because she'll break out in hives, or go in to anaphylactic shock, a true allergic reaction.

To me, the second one, "I DON'T eat eggs", means that it is a personal preference, or choice.

For example, I don't eat brussel sprouts, not because I am allergic to them, which I am not, but simply because I don't like them.

Having said that, I wouldn't have gone back a second time, I don't care how "small" a town is. There are always other options, such as going to another restaurant the next town over.

As stated above, my doctor advised not eating eggs because my cholesterol goes up when I have a diet of them (3-4 times a week).   So I can't eat eggs.  I am not allergic but there IS a reaction (albiet slow - 3 month average).  I have been with this doctor for five years. The last year and a half I've gone for testing every 3 months for A1C and Lipids.  According to those tests, my numbers go out of Normal when I eat eggs. They are normal when I rarely eat eggs.  So according to my doctor.... I can't eat eggs (if I want my Cholesterol tests to be normal)...  and I want my Cholesterol tests to be normal.

A1c tests for blood glucose levels over a three month period.  Dont think that is impacted by eating eggs.

I'm getting really frustrated here.... don't you people read??  I have an A1C test and a test for Lipids (Cholesterol).  I have a test every 3 months for A1C and Lipids....

Chill, take a deep breath.  You said "according to those tests, my numbers go out of Normal when I eat eggs".  Those tests, both of them.  That is what you wrote, So i was clarifying for you that i didnt think A1C would impact cholesterol results because it measures blood glucose.

Come on.... really???  I have an opening for an Editor if anyone's interested!  Woman LOL  You are right A1C is only and precisely for measuring a 3 month average for blood sugars.  The Lipid tests are only for blood related fats, cholesterol, etc. I believe caled a Lipid Panel.  But I could be wrong.... @Q4u

I may have missed this suggestion in one of the other posts, but, If you haven't already done so, consider describing the second incident to the management.  Then ask, What are you going to do about it?

You can then determine how to proceed based on the response that you receive; moreover, you will know that you did all that you could to make management aware of the situation.

This has been answered upthread regarding Lipid tests, my reaction and my doctor's advice regarding all that.....  btw, I have had roughly (maybe less)  6 egg dishes in the four years we've been going there.  I have no eggs at home.  And yes, it's hard to completely 100% of the time give up certain foods.  I also have had to give up sugars, white flour foods and others that raise my blood sugars.  We're all only human, and that's 100% of the time with no exceptions, but I've been told that.I've been doing an eggceptional job at keeping all these things at bay.... (pun intended)... Woman LOL
