@jaxs mom Well I don't know where you live but I can relate to what the OP is saying. There are plenty of them running around here acting just like that.

Then their parents are at fault for not raising them better, and in this case, the manager is obviously at fault. The manager knew the waiter was a jerk and did not follow health standards but he kept him on anyway.

@jaxs mom I'm older so No I did not say that. I just don't like going to the store or restaurant & the employee's talking back at me or getting in my business.

When I waited on tables years ago if I talked back to a customer like this guy did to the OP or how some of these kids working here today do I would have been fired.

While I can understand the outrage in being treated this way in an establishment, if it were I, I would not have returned to the restaurant after that. Life is too short. Surely there MUST be other restaurants in town.

I think you missed a lot of the issue, including the fact that the waiter gave her a USED coffee cup which he had only rinsed out for her use.

That part to me is of real concern, not the spat about eggs.

..... and, "you" can be sure, if you ever complain to a manager about a server, and you haven't finished your meal yet (or if you return and have the same server), that server will sabotage your food in the most disgusting way.

We eat out daily.

I can't say enough good things about the servers we deal with. We frequent several different establishments, and everyone from the owners, to the waitstaff couldn't be nicer

We consider them to be friend,s, My husband tips well. We always chat with them. When they have a baby we buy them a gift bag ,of baby items

I don't know if I am the* odd man* out here, but I've never encountered people who wern't nice. Eating utensils that weren't clean and sanitary

They work hard for their money, and are on their feet all day long. I admire them

I have one puzzling question, and I have not had time to read through the replies (sorry but I am so short on time right now).

If someone orders an egg white omelet, why can't they make the omelet? They may be out of the liquid egg white in the carton, but they do have eggs, right? Just use real egg whites.
