I'm so tired of UPS and their rich fantasy life about delivering packages.  Nearly every time it's "delivery by 1:15" than at 2:50 p.m. it's changed to "delivery by 9 p.m."

Sometimes I would like to be home when something gets here.  Sometimes it's even kicked from "by 9 p.m." to the next day sometimes after 8 p.m.

Really?  They have a computer and a loaded truck tracked and that's the best they can figure?

Weird, I've never encountered that problem with my UPS deliveries.

Re: I'm SO Tired of UPS Lies

I have similar issues with the UPS "alleged" tracking information.  Mine always shows that it will arrive something between 11AM and 3Pm.  Before long, that gets changed to delivery by 9PM.

I do have to give kudos to my regular UPS driver.  I had a food delivery package (in a freezer container) due on last Tuesday.  Here, that was a day of torrential rains.  I'm a senior citizen and was wondering how I was going to go out my door and bring such an unweildy package during heavy rains. As it turns out, my doorbell rang at 6PM.  I was upstairs so it takes me a good bit of time to get down to the front door.  The doorbell did ring a 2nd time, but I was just about to open the door. There was my driver holding my  large package in the pouring rain.  He said he wasn't going to leave until I opened the door so he could put the package inside for me!!!!!

@Sooner @Krimpette @SaveTheTurtles

@@@''My UPS man is highly regarded here and I'm sure he has been overloaded with deliveries at this time of year

So IDK where the mid-communication lies but 9 times out of 10 either the delivery is not here after I've gotten a text saying it was delivered

or

I get an interim text saying "oh, sorry, your delivery is delayed...the anticipated day it will arrive is...blah, blah, blah

Amazon is also usually very sorry about 50% of my deliveries and they are "running late".

How about "your delivery was handed to a resident"?

Well, this is just great! Which resident did you hand it to?

Oh well, EVENTUALLY the items do arrive.

Have never had a problem with UPS and we order a lot online. Guess it all depends on many things.

UPS lies....seriously?

Stuff happens.  UPS trucks can break down, adverse weather conditions, drivers are injured or sick, overload of deliveries to get to, etc. etc.

None of the packages UPS delivers to me consist of life-saving medicine or anything else I need in a timely manner.

If one wants to be certain an important item is delivered ASAP, ship it UPS Red or Blue or choose another shipping service.

Otherwise, it gets there when it gets there.

Why spin out over UPS time delivery variations?

Bring a delivery driver for most any company is demanding and sometimes brutal with an expectation of hundreds of addresses per shift.

UPS & USPS here both change time of delivery when I check tracking. I don't really care if they change the time so long it gets delivered the day they tell me.

My mail person leaves my mail but forgets my packages. She has to come around a 2nd time to deliver them? She always delivers my junk mail but if we don't get the mail we really need it's never found or delivered?

Sometimes UPS delivers my packages around the corner. I either go get it or call UPS & tell them my package just showed delivered but it wasn't delivered here. UPS contacts the driver so they can go get it & deliver to me. If I call right when it happens the driver is still in my area so it's not a big deal.
