...in this photo (g)

A photo I came across when we were looking for photos of mom for her funeral.  I didn't know what we were having.  I had my gallbladder out when I was 7 months pregnant (she was nearly a full 10 months) and while doing an ultra sound, the Dr asked if I wanted to know what I was having.  I said YES.  She was turned the wrong way.  We were building a house at the time and it would have been great to know what wallpaper to choose for the accent wall in her bedroom.

Such a cute pic!  Anyway I am sure the cake was good.

One of my grandsons was turned just so, with his legs folded up high.  And oh my!  Even I could see it 😂

@monicakm  You look so pretty, glowing!  It must have been a lovely shower. I liked it when showers were smaller and at home

with family and close friends.

Now they are so huge and elaborate, like a wedding reception and with a registry for very high end gifts.

I know what you mean.  Last summer, my cousin's daughter got married.  All the events leading up to and including her wedding were very fancy.  However, the wedding itself was such that no children were allowed to attend.  It even said that on the invitation.

Needless to say, another cousin with three children was so offended, she wouldn't attend anything.  I'm not certain if she's even spoken to her since.  This really rubbed her the wrong way lol.

No one in our whole family has ever had any event where children were excluded.

I was going to say Mozel Tov and its a miracle until I realized it was an old photo.

Thanks @SportyShorty07 !  That dress was actually a top (we tried to hide our bellies back then) and I had on navy slacks.  This was YOUR favorite era, the 80s Smiley Happy  I don't recall how the cake tasted and unless we were in my husband's dad's church for the shower (small country church), I don't recall where it was.  Sadly, I can't even remember my daughter's baby shower.  I liked the 80s makeup too!  My favorite nail polish in the 70s and 80s was Revlon Blackberry.
