@On It  So glad your home was spared, the burn scar is frighteningly close, such devastation. Glad to know that though many suffered losses but many did not. What wonderful people there are in this world, they put their lives on the line for folks they do not know but who are eternally grateful.

@On It   Gosh! That was CLOSE!
Thankfully your house wasn't harmed, and the horses are back and safe. You've been so brave throughout this disaster.

Thank you for the pictures. Glad you are safe. I was wondering if the inside of your home smells from the smoke?  If so, how do you handle this situation.

@On It   So glad to see you back.  So happy you were spared but still sad what the community experienced.  Best wishes to you and the wildlife.

Happy to see you're back @On It .  So thankful your home was spared destruction and it's really scary to see how close the fire came.  Always enjoy seeing different wildlife than what we see in upstate SC, and I enjoy your posts and pics.

@On It I am so glad you let us know how you are doing as you and your area have been in my thoughts and prayers and I have been wondering how your village and outlying areas had fared! Bless all of those first responders who are helping! ❤️🙏

@elated We turned our HVAC unit off when we evacuated. We did not want it pulling smoke inside the house, so we did not have a smoke smell. The homes that were closest to the fire have smoke issues. Some of them are using ozone fans.

@On It.  I'm so glad to hear you and dh emerged from the fires and flooding unscathed.  It must have been a huge relief to see your house still standing, undamaged.  Your pictures, taken from your porch, always seemed like you were up high so I wasn't so worried about the flooding.  However, the water really did a number on some homes.

Glad to have you back!
