Sussudio. I love that song by Phil Collins-- it's such a happy song. "Su-su-ssudio, I'll just say the word..."

Melancholy.  It sounds happy--to me.

Vegetables.  I say it the way it's spelled.

Some people say *vegtables*.  That sounds funny.

@jeanlake

Down the Jersey shore each summer, there is a Doo Dah big parade on the boardwalk.

Never saw it...usually a page of pictures in the local paper.

@jlkz  I think it's for basset hounds.  They have it in OC.  I've never been.  They have all kinds of crazy parades there.

@Pearlee    You really should brush up on your spelling.  Your marginal education is showing.

@qualitygal , my maternal grandma, Mimi, always said "whatchamacallit" when she was searching for a word.  Still makes me smile to think of it.

I've always liked to hear and say Kittamaqundi, a manmade lake in MD.

We always pronounced it kittamaquondi.

Re: I love to hear the name Kennebunkport

Like to hear names of English as in UK, cities, towns and castles.  Quite a few Eastern U.S. cities and towns named after them.  Haven't looked, but expect thirteen colonies probably have the most.
