If you have the proper fence they make very good pets.  The ones I know bleet a lot which the neighbors might not like. 

They are killers on weeds and they need to have a buddy goat.

They are so friendly and so pretty.

We have had goats for years...they are pretty low maintenance and mine only cry when they are hungry. 

I will tell you that an uncastrated male can be a VERY dangerous animal....

even to people.

Our house backs up onto a greenbelt.  For the last couple of years the county has brought in goats to clean back all the shrubs, etc.    I love to go out there in the mornings with my cup of coffee and watch them.  Very relaxing.   I am am sad when they are packed up to move on to their next location.

I'm so jealous of all your experiences, I'm a city girl so we NEVER get the luxury of seeing farm animals unless you go to some kind of zoo.  That is a blessing to live in rural AMERICA.

I have never touched a cow or even a horse....so that is on my bucket list....to go to a farm.

Seems silly to some but it is on my list.
