@dooBdoo  I have mine set up this way, too.  I will say it works Most of the time.  But I know what @LilacTree is talking about.  There are some days I click on a thread and it drops me in the middle of it (particularly on long threads.)  I read several posts that sound familiar before I wake up and look at the date and realize I'm maybe a month back.  One night last week it did it on several different threads.  Like I said most of the time it works like it is supposed to, so it always catches me by surprise when it acts up like this.  BTW I've gotten in the habit of always signing in before I start reading anything anymore.  (Way too difficult not too.)

Winifred, I have been a member since 2007 and have experienced several changes, none of which have been as complicated as this one.  I agree that having to spend a lot of time figuring out how it all works has caused work which takes away the fun.

Periodically I come back hoping I will stay but so far that hasn't happened.   I think one of the reasons I get frustrated with trying to figure out the workings of the change is because of my chronic pain...stress and frustration increases the pain level which takes away from pleasure.  I agree with your post, thank you for expressing what I and perhaps others feel.
