Does anyone still have or like retro silver Christmas trees? I am SO excited. I got up (very) early and my friend came for me and we went to a big yard sale that had an ad in the paper (with Christmas things listed).

Well I wasnt going to go because last night I was still going thru old photos and up late, but I dragged myself out and what did I find? A 6 & 1/2 foot full branched retro silver Christmas tree in near mint condition and cheap! (Can you say 10 bucks? Holla!)...

We used to have one when I was a kid. AND I have searched for one for years and mostly at very high prices (on ebay etc). Now I wont use it for our regular tree, but will probably use it in our rec room which is done up ala Mad Men retro. I love, retro stuff and I love Christmas so I am ecstatic over the find! I feel like setting it up now..lol..(but I wont). I cant wait to tell my husband! (who is @ work a half day)............

PS) The story doesnt end there! When I was doing the photo stuff last night, (mostly of my kids pics). I made a photo book of my parents WITH a pic of them standing together looking SO happy right by our old tree. I was sad looking over their pics and I miss my parents so much, I had tears. And when I came across the pic with our old silver tree, I said out loud I oh, I wish I could find a tree like this. Maybe, just maybe my parents were guiding me to the tree? You never know, but I like to think that they are watching over me and they did guide me to this tree!
