I am getting more and more frustrated to the point of anger that my husband won't stop smoking. Besides costing $6.00/day is the larger issue of what it has to be doing to his health. Even if I had all the money in the world, it wouldn't make it better.

He seems to feel he's entitled to it for stress relief. I have never been a smoker, so I can't see that it relieves anything! He seems to feel he's powerless to stop it. We have been through so many boxes of nicotine patches, and he will still sometimes smoke while on them.

If he needs to leave work, why can't he just go outside like the others but not smoke? Why can't he take the dog out and not smoke? I know I just don't understand the appeal of it.

I am an RN and have seen every awful result of smoking. I have tried to tell him, but like all of us, it won't happen to us.

I know you can't make someone stop. But I am just sick of him doing it.
