I just asked him/her that directly in the thread.  I hope I get a serious answer.

What's up with that ?

Mine was deleted very early this morning.  I was surprised as it wasn't very snarky at all and completely fit in with what was being discussed but now I see other posts have been removed and the moderator supplied a further explanation.  I do not think we will be able to discuss anything political at all which I guess fits in with their stated guidelines.

I've only had one post deleted so far.   I'm guessing this will be harder to take than the upgrade in the long run.

Glad to know I am not alone.  I wish I could tell you what I wrote but I don't want to take this thread down.  It truly was (in my opinion) nothing and I personally would not call it political.

I am concerned that if they are being that finite in their moderating, many people will leave which is a shame as they are promoting social media sites.

To be honest, I very rarely watch QVC anymore.  I buy/take a lot of my advice from posters on these forums.  If the moderating is this tight, I personally will have a hard time joining in.

Because the removal of my post didn't include any explanation I'll give it the old college try and see what future moderation brings.  This is a learning process for everybody.

I just don't think it's cool for a moderator to take part in a thread. Jmo.

Have a good day everyone !

Are you kidding Lilac? Serious question?? Is this place really that serious to you?

If you read the standards it clearly says what they will do and then how they will handle it.

It was and is aganst standards except now they are letting posters know it.

I'll admit mine bordered on trouble.

The strict modding is probably a result from all the complaints about them not removing certain posts and playing favorites.   I know it's a d*** if you do and d*** if you don't.

All the whining and fighting and insults  and calls to corporate - this is what you get.

I truly hope QVC doesn't shut down all political discussions.  Reason being, it's tough to find a forum that doesn't have a political bias that you can trade thoughts and opinions.

I will be the first to agree that things could/would get completely out of hand and I am glad that QVC has taken steps to stop this but I would hope with good and clear moderation (so we all learn boundaries) we could try and have some great discussions.

Exactly.  I was on one board that got so much complaining about the lack of moderation they just removed it.   LOL  Careful what you ask for.

mtc, not only all policitcal disucssions, but they will shut down all current events and anything they deem controversial.

They've made it clear none of that will be allowed here.

Can't post about politics, religion, current events, or personal issues.

I'm not about to post about crabcakes.
