I've wondered about this since I've started reading and posting on this forum.
A question for factual information is asked and answered. But posts keep coming giving incorrect responses or just somebody's opinion of what the anwer should be.
What's up with that ?

The board is populated mostly by humans. There are a few felines but their postings are really confusing lol.

Facts? Who needs stinking facts? My belief and opinions supercedes any provable facts. LOL!

It's not a debate board.

I don't even try to get it. Some people are just set in their opinions and nothing will change that.

Well, facts are funny things.
Like asking on here, what the temperature in San Diego is this morning. There is probably more than one right answer. If you are in the heart of the city, it will be higher than the outskirts. If you live in a valley or on a hill, in the shade of a lot of trees, or surrounded my lots of buildings and asphalt, all will have different actual readings on their thermometers.
Take any given science, and the 'facts' are constantly disputed, evolving, and changing. And at any given period of time, we can look back at what were once considered 'facts' and they have now been disgarded, upgraded, or changed.
Most 'facts' are found being supported by other 'facts', disputed by another camps 'facts' and subject to interpretaion. You will have large bodies of supportive evidence on two or more sides of just about any 'fact'.
And I love that people continue to offer up different ( and even 'wrong') input. It always gives food for thought, can lead one to think about something differently than they might have otherwise, and keeps people on their toes to do their own research and thinking about 'the facts'.

Even gravity is a theory (cannot be proven why or how), so exactly what are facts.

I think many times a poster may respond, obviously not having read the entire thread.
Leaves me SMH too sometimes.
