A couple months ago I was in a minor auto accident when a young woman ran a run light and hit me just as I crossed a intersection. The police were called. And a couple witnesses stayed and gave witness statements.
Before the police came, the young woman came to me and told me it was my fault and that she wanted me to tell the police that. I told her no I would not do that and she was distraught.
Meanwhile I brought my car in for repairs, passenger side fender and light had to be replaced and we paid the $250 deductible until we received the police report. A week later we received a check from our insurance company for the $250 and we were told the report indicated that other driver was at fault, case closed.
Now she is suing me in small claims court for $4500 damage for a 1988 Honda Civic Accord because it was my fault it was damaged. I don't know if I should laugh or cry.
Happy Mothers Day to me.
