@Kachina624  I'm saying 🙏🏼 prayers for the baby in your family with RSV. I've heard it's a huge problem in the hospitals.

@hckynutjohn , I hope you are not caught up in the CHI ransomware problem.  I have read patients went to their schedule appointments, but because the records were not accessable on the computer, the clinics and hospitals they were going to didn't know anything about them, couldn't access their records and told them to go home.  It seems like quite a mess.

Wishing you good health from just a little ways west of you.

I'm sorry for all of you having frustrating medical issues!  They system seems to be broken or on its way.

My son had been having pain in his lower abdomen.  He tried to get an appointment with a doctor he had gone to once before but couldn't get an appointment.

He tried someone new but was able to only see the PA who suggested an ultrasound after an exam.  His ultrasound appointment was over a month away and his pain was getting worse and not easing up.

He finally asked me what to do...honestly I just didn't know so he decided to go to the ER.  I told him it could be a long wait since his issue isn't an emergency.

He arrived at 11 am, they finally saw him a few hours later and they gave him a CT scan.  He left by 6 pm.

Fortunately they didn't see anything and they gave him the name of a gastro doctor to see.  He was able to get an appointment a few days later (amazing!!) and so far the doctor thinks it might be IBS.  We will see.

I have to agree that there are times when you really need to see someone and can't wait weeks or months!  The wait times are ridiculous.  My son ended up going to the ER.  I always beleived that the ER should ve used for a true emergency....but DS had no other choice.

Several of my doctors are connected to CHI, as is my 2nd home, the hospital. I have had many appointments, 2 on the same day, over the last few months.

Along with that quite a few Medical Procedures, like Heart Cath/Pandoscopy(Endoscopy and Colonoscopy combined)/Echocardiogram, and Doppler Ultrasound, just to name a few. And then there was 3 days in the hospital.

So far so good as far as ransomware goes. No problems or mix ups with my many visits. Hopefully it continues because I need it.

Thank you for your health well wishes to me, they are greatly appreciated.

My best to you also,

@1Snickers    Thank you for your thoughts.  The baby took a turn for the worse last night, was taken to the hospital and they admitted her.  She's in good hands now.

@Pixie12   I haven't heard a report today but I'm sure they'll send her home ASAP as they need the bed for another child.

Thanks all for your good wishes.

@GoneButNotForgotten

I totally understand completely what you are saying!!! Saying a prayer that you can get a resolution and any treatment you need!

----Its so difficult to get good medical help these days...I have to jump through hoops to get things done! Getting a return call is difficult to talk to the doctor or even the nurse, get refills etc etc. Even getting a message to the the receptionist is difficult!!! ....Yesterday I sat at the Lab place for 40 minutes waiting for the Doctor's office to fax the orders to the Lab ( I had contacted the doctors office 2 days before my visit to place the request and gave them the fax number which was correct according to the Lab, never done, and had to call to request it again!)...I ended up going to the doctors office to pick them up and hand deliver them to the Lab...SMH!!!
