The only thing I wish would stop is the page-jumping. Other than that, I have no problem with the reformulation.
Well, one thing: I wish that they had perhaps set a very slight increase in font size as the default and then NOT given us the option to make it huge and colorful. JMO. I do not like reading those posts at all. But that's my problem, not anyone else's.
I'm looking forward to the time when all this fallout is over and when those who want to leave do so. I much prefer talking about anything other than how awful this site is now.

John, one thing I think has become pretty clear with the new forums is that QVC is only going to put so much effort into them, period. With all the comments since day one about people not buying from QVC any more because of the new forums, stated in various ways, nothing has changed. IMO little is going to change. It's a take-it-or-leave-it scenario. What should have been or could have been doesn't matter to QVC.
Only time will tell if QVC feels the new forums are responsible for a huge loss in sales. I personally feel if they feel losses in revenue it's far more likely to be due to the very restricted lines of merchandise they now carry, sizing issues, and presentations of the same items too frequently. They have millions of customers who don't even know the forums exist.
I'm just popping in to agree that I doubt QVC cares very much about this little BB which only has a couple of hundred posters who post on and off. What we do here, whether we buy or not, I truly believe has no effect on their bottom line. When it comes to their priorities we are probably at the bottom of the list.

This post has been removed by QVC because it is sarcastic towards another poster

True, I agree with you. It does amuse me how entitled many posters seem to be over the appearance and features of the forum, and the self- importance of their opinion in web design.
The only thing I have not seen criticised is that the shopping cart icon is red, and not some other color. (I kid, I kid)
This is an out of the box software that QVC purchased and customized that many big name companies use. It is called Lithium. They did not create it from scratch. They can only do so much in terms of changing things. Besides which, have you ever been involved in a group project where there are different ideas on how to proceed? Not everyone gets a choice on the final outcome. This is not a democratic process. A user's desire for web design of this page doesn't really matter to the Q.

AFAIC there are two types of change on the new forums, and it's possible to dislike both or to dislike one but not the other.
I don't like the black and white starkness. I really, REALLY don't like that they are STILL blowing iPad users off. I think "we're working on it" is the new "never, no way, ain't gonna happen, haha" from QVC.
The navigation I can certainly deal with. Many of the nuts and bolts issues people complain about are things that are now customizable on the forum. It's not QVC's fault or responsibility if customers can't figure them out. It is what it is. Learn to get around, read and post - or don't. QVC isn't a parent or teacher, there is responsibility on the consumer to keep up with technology.
"Okay then QVC will lose my many thousands." They're okay with that. Really.
The new moderation and the new what's not allowed? I LOVE IT. There is no reason people can't post within acceptable guidelines except that they choose not to, and some choose to fight it tooth and nail.
So yes, posters are correct - QVC most probably is quite happy to lose those posters who refuse to play by the rules, deliberately test and challenge moderation, and then complain because they can't post all the insults and other inappropriate discussion that previously went on.
QVC clearly wants that stopped. Yes, absolutely, they wanted it stopped badly enough to lose posters. They are probably happy to lose the posters continuing in that behavior - no matter how many "thousands" posters claim to spend by the week, month or year.
Comments like the one I bolded just leave me shaking my head. I find it oddly amusing, considering the members that were BANNED under the looser moderation where you had to work hard to get banned had their access restored with this update. I read the seemingly eager hopes for members to be banned now for speaking out against this situation as some sort of looking for revenge. JMHO.

I can't speak to any possible revenge, because I haven't even noticed anyone who seems eager for people to be banned for speaking out about the new format.

If there are people posting that had previously been banned, perhaps some of them had been banned for the wrong reasons. It would not surprise me at all if trolls had gotten their victims banned, as some claim.
As for those who deserved to be banned and may be back, they have to watch their P's & Q's or they'll just get zapped or banned again and won't be able to control and manipulate as they did before. I haven't seen anything in any new forum that has carried on to the degree it did on the old forums. SMH.
I couldn't disagree with your last sentence more.

From what I've read and believe to be very possible, is that banned posters' statuses were not able to be "carried over" with this new software.
Whether that's the case or not, I'm OK with everyone being given another chance.
From what I've seen, most seem to be trying to post within the standards. Those who want to continue their previous behaviors will probably wind up banned again. It's their choice how they use their second chance.
