I have been so domestic today

[ Edited ]

I hate being domestic, LOL.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Sounds like work to me -- but it feels so good when it's done.

When I do a lot around the house, I call it my "housewife mode".

Hmmm ... guess I was too late reading this thread to know what was done to make the OP feel domestic.

@NickNack - here, let me bore you...

I went to the grocery store this morning to get us some chicken for lunch. It was already cooked so I didn’t have to cook it.

Got lunch all ready.  Then cleaned up everything from lunch,

Changed the sheets.

Washed the dirty sheets.

Washed a few towels and white clothes and folded those and put them away.

Washed the throw rugs.  Getting ready to put those in the dryer now.

Ran the dishwasher. I’m also getting ready to unload that.  I’m letting the anticipation build first.

Then we’ll fold the clean sheets which is easily my least favorite job.  That fitted sheet.....

I went outside and sprayed weeds for awhile.

There is something else, but I can’t remember it right now.

@gidgetgh   I'm exhausted just reading about it!  I've had a very lazy day.  I visited my Dad and went to Starbucks.  Now I'm watching HGTV with my dog and my cat.Smiley Happy

Re: I have been so domestic today

I love playing June Cleaver. Yesterday, after our houseguest left, I washed all of our bedding, blankets and throws. Then we draped it all over the sunroom furniture. When I brought it back in, it smelled so fresh. Tomorrow I'll start my day by watching Leave It To Beaver on METV - might get some more inspiration from June!
