It was on that prom date story, where the boy asked the girl to prom, using cardboard letters, and his principal banned him from prom (and then backed down so he can go now).
The message was, "[girl's name], WILL YOU GO TO PROM WITH ME? HMU [boy's name]"
I was curious what HMU was, so I googled it. "Hit me up", or "call/text/whatever me".
I've not been a teenager for 30 years. I'm totally out of the loop, I don't speak their slang. I was a bit surprised the prom note said "WILL YOU" and not "WILL U", I thought that was what teenagers wrote these days.
