Morning and afternoon with my grandson. He painted a flower pot for his mom and we gathered some succulents and planted them in the pot. I gave him a small cement bird to put in the pot and he was so excited about giving it to his mom. She loved it. We made chocolate chip cookies watched a movie and his mom just came to take him home. I feel so blessed to have him in my life.

That is a most perfect day! I so miss my boy being little. I have a friend that says she doesn't want to go back and live it all over again, but wishes we could go back for "little visits". Perhaps that is exactly what being a grandparent is, "little visits" with our memories of our own babes.

Moxie, it sounds like you had a truly wonderful day that will become a cherished memory.

My 2 year old grandson is coming tomorrow and spending the day, and will be sleeping over. We bought him a big inflatable bed to use for now, since he outgrew his pack 'n play. So, he and "Pop" will be camping out in the living room, lol.

Then Friday we will be meeting up with my daughter and going out for my birthday lunch. I'm having pizza and cheesecake, lol. I've been doing Weight Watcher's for a year, and I NEED pizza and cheesecake.

It's going to be an exhausting two days, but I love him to pieces. ${#emotions_dlg.wub}$

Having grandchildren is such a blessing as parents we had to worry about them suffer through their illnesses, and relentless hours of soccer games, soft ball and other sports. Some times they played on different fields and so my husband and I had to split our time between that. And the teens oh my gosh how did we get through that. Now we get the best and loving time. Isn't life grand?
