I started with a cold about 8 or 9 days ago.  Now, I just feel like it's more of a sinus infection.  Glad it's not the flu, though I always get my flu shot.

I have been sick since Christmas Day. DH was sick and still is since just before Christmas. Sinus/respiratory illness going around. Ugh.

@Irshgrl31201  You know they sell turmeric in capsules at the healthfood store-the ones from India are best. It's also called curcumin. Take care.

My DH and I have been sick for 2 weeks.  Upper respiratory, fever, cough, tired.  He has been to the dr twice, me once.  He tested negative for flu, positive for virus.  The dr said I also had a virus.  We are still coughing up phlegm. A friend is on round two.  Almost everyone I speak to here in SW FL have had or currently suffering from it.

I have had the whole gamut of flu immunizations, but I have had a GI bug for the last two days.  I think I got it from somebody in our office: this time of the year, we get a lot of snow birds and visitors from Michigan, Ohio and the Midwest in general.

I've been sick for two weeks.  First week was absolutely awful.  After two days husband said he's not feeling really well.  When both are ill at the same time it's not pretty.  No eating, upset stomachs, congested heads and coughing, aching backs, headaches, etc.  He called his cardiologist to see if there was something he could take to feel better (he has to check before taking anything but their presciptions) and they said yes, tea with honey - no help there.  Anyway, the nurse practitioner said we both had the flu.  We both had flu shots - he got a double dose shot.  So - there you go - some different strain has really knocked both of us for a loop. Mine has settled into a bad and insistent cough.  UGH.

illness is bad around my area. DH went to doctor this morn.  Had a URI.  Right now he is on script given nose spray, musinex, some kind of cough medicine (over the counter). Dr. told him today,they don't want to give out antibotics for this unless it is last resort. Let it run its course and if in 2 weeks call dr's office back and then regrouping begins.  I had a cold over christmas. Coughing spell and then the sniffles, and full blown cold. doing ok now.

have heard that that 2-3 day tummy bug is going around my area. My son in law got it 2 days after christmas. he is finally on his feet.

There is a cold medicine AND a cold and flu medicine made for those with heart trouble: Coricidan.  It works very well and you can find it at Walgreens or probably any drugstore.

You will see a big red heart on the front of the box.  It's recommended by the American Heart Association.

@Noel7  Thank you for the name of this product.  The cardiologist's office didn't mention it though.  Writing it down for him to take to his next appointment with them.  Thanks again.
