I guess I'm trying to figure out when soccer because THIS popular in the U.S. I must have been taking a nap.

I coached it for 10+ years and my DD's bff from high school plays for the US Womens team so I do enjoy watching it. As do my fellow colleagues here at work. We will have it streaming live from the TV screens in our conference rooms. My parent company is from Germany and so they realize the importance of the game being played during regular office hours. Go USA!

We live in a wonderful heavily diverse and ethnically blended community, and have vicariously been experiencing the joys of the countries who have already been winning. DH and I WILL be watching the game off and on this afternoon!

I'm not into it either. I've just never had much exposure to soccer, that is probably the reason. I'm interested in the scores and naturally want the U.S. to win, but that's as far as it goes. I'm more interested in America's home-grown sports; i.e. baseball, basketball, football. I'm happy for those that are really into it. It looks like they're having a great time.
