@Junebug54 I agree. If people want to vent then let them vent. It isn't like this experience has been, is, or apparently is going to continue to be a proverbial bed of roses, so if we want to gripe a bit, then have at it... Anyone who want to wear that stiff upper lip 24/7/365 is free to do so, but the rest of us are human with human emotions we wish to express. As for the tiresome 'we're here for you' and so on ads, I agree about them too, they're phony and tiresome...
Thank you both so much. It's not like I'm hurting anyone and yeah, sometimes, like the title says, you just gotta vent! And I feel comfortable venting to my QVC board friends.

Why such a sarcastic response @Still Raining? So inappropriate with such an old warn out comment. If you insist on being nasty at least come up with a new line.

Hmm! Me? I DVR everything I watch, ala no commercials. The exceptions are if I or my wife want to see/hear it. Things like that, to me anyways, are too minuscule to even concern myself.
If it bothers you that much? If you have a DVR or Tivo? Give my way a shot.

I bet the people who have died or are in the hospital wish they had your problem.

This is harsh. So because people died i'm not allowed to not like certain things?

Seriously? Guess what, this is a forum where all different things & concerns are discussed, and your post is uncalled for. Frankly, I welcome a respite from the constant barrage of unnerving news regarding Covid-19. If you don't like what OP posted then scroll on by.

- If we are staying home and no one is coming to visit us and we arent going outside ... why do we have to wash our hands? Do germs come through the walls and attach themselves to our hands? I'm up on the 10th floor .. even with my windows open ... what's the chance of the virus coming in the window and landing on my hands?
- If it lands on our hands .... how about that slice of bread on the plate over there? Should I wash that also?
- If everyone has to wear a mask outside (we do in NYC), why do we have to stay six feet apart? I can see staying apart if you aren't wearing a mask.
- I'm on line in Walgreen's yesterday ... everybody is masked. marks on floor (stand here) six feet apart. Line was all the way down the aisle.
- A friend of mine has a rather serious hearing loss and can hear where there are micophones or telecoils ... but in person - she reads lips. She's having a lot of difficulty these days. We communicate . via DMs and email or phone. There are a lot of "hidden" hardships.
@ALRATIBA: If you don't leave your home, never stepping outside your door, you probably don't need to wash your hands excessively.
As for the social distancing rule, remember, this was put in place long before everyone started wearing face masks. IMO, even wearing a mask, I still thinks it's a good idea to socially distance ourselves for the time being. The coronavirus is new, there are still so many unknowns. Some of the rules may seem excessive, but we don't really know for sure. Better to be safe than sorry!

I don't think when this is over we will regret doing too much.
