I think they were afraid, I'd be calling daily.  Ya know, the squeeky wheel, etc. LOL

I did a chat yesterday for the first time on this issue and was going to do it each morning if need be.  

 

Glad to see the boards back up this morning.

 

I like the format here, or perhaps I am just used to it.  LOL!

@avid shopper  I am glad you had a successful Chat. Last week on a  Chat I was told there was NO IT problems and I should check my settings? I told her I changed my password and nickname and still could not get in, cleared History etc.

 

Personally, I felt insulted. CS seems to not be informed. I was hoping to hear it was happening to many posters and being worked on. I gathered  that I wasn't alone after many days of frustration logging in over and over. I was hopeful seeing a post from the Mods saying Q was working on it. I learn so much here and am grateful to be able to get in again.

@Gorgf - I was told to change browsers.  Sigh.  It wasn't a browser issue. Only like 2 or 3 people were able to login.  A banner at the top, detailing the issue and the efforts to fix it (or not fix it) would have been the thing to do.  I kept checking here but posted at Proboards with tons of others who couldn't login here. 


Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I'm really glad everyone seems to be finally getting in!  I called a couple times and was told to change my password which I did.  It did not help!  I was told to re-install this or that - which I did not.  I was not going to re-configure my whole computer!  I tried to get on the live chat and could not even get that feature to work.  Very frustrating --- and I just gave up.  I decided to try this morning and if it didn't work, then I thought --- forget it!  I wasn't going to ever order anything from here again since no one seemed to care if the issues were resolved.  But so far, so good --- hope it lasts!

@Gorgf,

I got the same type of response from an online customer service (not the ordering customer service). He saying no they had not heard of this problem and told me how to change my email etc. I assured him it had nothing to do with my settings.

He only acknowledged that they had known of the problem with not being able to sign out of QVC.com a week ago but that was fixed.

Of course that was fixed! It had to do with their danger of losing orders!

But the same IT could not fix a sign in problem to the forums for a week!

I just don't believe they were working diligently on it at all.

Still I missed being able to post and read people's posts and forever how long these are here, it will be nice to have. I do appreciate that.
