I found a turtle today...

I was walking around the grounds of our complex today and saw a beautiful turtle. The shell was pretty, the colors on the turtle's head were vivid. However he/she was sort of out of his/her element. So I picked him/her up and took him/her to one of our two ponds. I put him/her down on the rocks leading to the water and stood back so he/she couldn't see me. He/she popped his/her head out of the shell after about 30 seconds, saw the water and literally ran to it, diving in. I have never seen a turtle move so fast.
