It was on the pavement halfway between the library (I went there after work) and a senior center.  I called the library and asked if anyone reported any money missing.  They said no.  Same thing with the senior center.  What should I do?  Keep it?

Donate half to the library and treat yourself to something. ❤️

Put it in your purse with the rest of your money.

You tried to return it by calling the library and the senior center.  I think it's now yours to keep!

It was like what happened to my brother.  He was in front of our house washing the car.  He glanced down and thought he saw a dollar bill lying in the gutter.  He picked it up and stuck it in his pocket.  He forgot about it till he was getting ready for bed.  He opened up and discovered it was a $100.00 bill.  He almost fell on the floor!  He thought it belong to us.  I wish!  We didn't remember having a $100.00 single on us.  This was when our old drug dealing neighbors lived next door.  My son kept it.

I never keep found money....depending on the amount I turn it in to the nearest store or take it to the police dept & change stays on the ground.

As long as you made the attempt to return it, you've done the right thing.  You can use it however you choose, but I hope you'll decide to do something good with it; put it in the church offering, donate it to a favorite charity, use it to pay it forward in some way for someone.

YOu do with it what you want. I found a $20 one night while out on a run.  I felt lucky. I think it's Suzy Orman who says how you handle your money shows a lot for your finances. If you are careless that you drop money on the street you need to be more careful.
