@Desertdi That's definitely true- but sometimes I like to challenge my patience! I used to see how long I could sit through HSN coin collector presentations before changing the channel- my personal record is 15 minutes.

Yes, it's bothering me, too, and I rarely complain. I'm wondering if the hosts have been instructed to pick up the pace by speed talking a mile a minute. It's definitely a turn-off and not necessary. They're starting to sound like carnival barkers. Good grief, slow down, take a breath.

@SportyShorty07 Coins are something you need to evaluate in person with a dealer....I don't know how they stay in business showing them on TV (!!)

I don't watch a whole lot of either one any more. One thing I can say -- and this is not really just geared to these 2, but toward most things these days -- and this is just my own personal opinion - is that a lot of people want to talk, talk, talk and don't want to listen. They don't want to give the other person the respect of just waiting and hearing what they have to say and then speaking. When we were young, we were always taught, you don't speak over people. You wait your turn! Also, you learn a lot more if you listen.

I think both channels are getting more alike, items are similar.

When you lose some one you L~O~V~E, that Memory of them, becomes a TREASURE.

@luvmyteddy4 I'm another long time QVC shopper, but even if items were still presented just as they used to be even by the same hosts I watched all the time, I know I will never again shop and shop some more the way I once did.

I'm not a natural when it comes to organizing and decluttering, but between lots of trashing and thrifting and more of not overbuying, I am slowly gaining on my past excesses!

@Desertdi Such a great point! I don't understand it either. Some of the coins are really sparkly and have nice designs, but I don't know if they'd appreciate in value overtime if they're sold on infomercials on TV or HSN. I have to wonder- are the coins really rare? Are coins the new "gold" as a form of investment? I think I'll buy one coin someday just for fun.

I have watched and shopped since the beginning of QVC and HSN. It definitely is no where near the quality all around what it use to be. As bad as it is now I think who ever chooses the Hosts are just like them.
