I don't get it

Why would 1 person come on this forum to ask themselves a question and then respond to the answer using another persons handle?

I mean, I understand talking to oneself, as I've done that for many, many years now. I haven't yet gotten to the point where I want to discuss things with myself on a Private Forum, and have to type to myself?
