We have about an inch in central Michigan.  Flowering crab apple trees, blooming lilacs, & my apple blossoms all are covered.  So much for global warming.

Wow!  Snow in May?  We've had a cool spring, but this past week finally brought the temperatures into the 70s twice for the first time since last year.  I lost one rose entirely and have a lot of dead canes on many others because there wasn't a lot of snow this winter.  The snow acts as an insulator against the cold at the plant's base.  I'm only halfway through clearing out the canes of my 14 (now 13) roses.

It should melt quickly. I always remember Mother's Day 1996 when it snowed and instead of wearing a nice spring outfit to church that morning, I dug out my winter leather pant suit, coat, boots, and gloves. I think the next day it was gone. I wish you warm weather from here.

Yup here in upper Mi we woke up to snow covered patio furniture that we just put out. Grrrr!

i feel for you.  it's one of the reasons, actually the main reason we moved to a warmer climate.
