The new version takes forever to log in. You also will almost always have an error message saying the it crashed. You will be busy writing an email and you are almost done and it crashed again. You leave the room and your screen is black, not unusual normally but then you have a hard time getting it to light up again and when you do you do all your tabs are gone. This morning it took me about 20 minutes to get it back. I finally wrote what I did in search and got a response from support from mozilla. they said go to help and hit trouble shooting. It solves most of the problems. Also you lose your menu bar until you discover you hit alt or f10 and you need to do this everytime you need to use it.

thank you for describing. we are using the latest one with no problems. im sorry you're having problems. could it be your computer?

No it is not my computer. Once I switched to the older version I am not having any problems except for having to access the menu bar every time I need to use it. Of course it has only been working for about 40 mins. I never have had these kinds of problems before except for explorer which has always been a piece of c rp for me.

Same here.

I've upgraded to the newest version with no problems.

Re: I do a search on the mozilla firefox up grade

I always install new versions as soon as they are available. On my iMac (OS X 10.9.3) I only noticed a small, intermittent problem: occasionally, when I quit Firefox it takes an unusually long time to completely quit or it requires a "force quit." Otherwise, it's working fine with no other issues, even with all my addons (9 of them) enabled.

(I always delete cookies, cache, history and website data for every browser at least once a day, btw.)

In doing a quick search ("Firefox 29.0.1 problems") it looks as though the problems you report, as you said, have been reported in detail and are being researched by the Mozilla developers. (At first glance, it seems to be specific to Windows users.) While some of the discussions have suggested fixes, I can see why going back to a previous version might be the choice of many users.

I suspect they'll be issuing a new update before long.Smile

I've upgraded mine on my Mac and have had no problems at all.

Re: I do a search on the mozilla firefox up grade

I did two complete scans and a systems restore to get rid of the FF updated version and all the junk it left behind; as well as a trojan which my security suite caught. It took the better part of a day to get my computer back in working order. What a mess it was!

I've not had any problems since the update but one of my add-ons is not compatible.

I guess you are not 'embracing technology' of the Firefox browser then?

It is confusing. I wonder what makes the difference, also.
