It's a relief to not have this looming in the back of my mind. I'm a procrastinator. Anyway, Intuit TurboTax made doing it easy.  I discovered that when both spouses are 65, and retired, the basic tax form is called a 1040 SR.

I'm a procrastinator. too, so I was afraid I might just miss the deadline.  I wasn't too keen on doing it as I have to pay.

BUT, I got it done and it went in the mail yesterday.

Even though getting everything together is less onerous for me than it once was, what I like best is sending it off.  I just love that it's done for another year.

@Junebug54  ...... Did them in April. Just didn't mail them till now. Reason. I owed them money. Not in a hurry to pay.

If your only income is social security, do you still have to file taxes. And if you do, is there a minimum amount that you have to make a year?

@May5  ..... Depends on how you would be filing. Single, Married Jointly, Head of Household, Qualifying Widow(er) with Child all have different income amounts.
