I'd been afraid to weigh myself b/c I stopped exercising after my appendectomy

The surgery left me with a bulging stomach and made me very tired which left me too depressed to start working out again once I came home. I thought the continuing bulge was a side effect of the procedure, and was planning on seeing a gastrointestinologist. Well, I finally weighed myself today, and saw that I need to lose 40 POUNDS! Besides the fact that I lost my will to exercise after spending 2 weeks in the hospital, my tricyclic antidepressant (amitriptyline) is notorious for causing weight gain. So now I have to get on a different med. b/c it does make hungry all the time, and somehow find the will to start exercising again.{#emotions_dlg.sad}
