I think it's odd that even to this day I don't have a favorite number.

When I make a quilt, I have to use an odd number of fabrics.

When I put it together, it has to be an even amount of blocks but not in a perfect square. It has to be rectangular with an odd number of blocks across and an even number down.

No, I can't say that I have that issue. I'm a little compulsive about other things, I think that's true of most people. We all have our issues. Mine tend to be work issues. I cannot leave for the day until I have completed a particular task that I have. It's questions from other areas of the company and they come in all throughout the day, lots of them. I just cannot leave the office until I have answered every email that came in that day. It's not a requirement, no one expects an immediate response, they aren't urgent matters. I could delegate to staff. In my head, I know this. Still....I cannot force myself to leave until I'm done. Even if that means staying late.

Ah, but that makes sense because that technique balances the design.

I thought I had some eccentricities, but even the OP's obsession is odder than my need to count the number of people in a tv or movie scene.

I am ""weird""..I won't stop at even numbers on any volume or my air conditioner..and I have to make the sign of the cross THREE times before I walk away from my door to go out...

I also have really bad OCD. I won't go into too many details here for obvious reasons..

ever see the Big Bang Theory episode about Sheldon's #73 tshirt? He goes into great detail about the #73. just so happens that's been my super duper lucky number since I was a kid. it wasn't for Sheldon's reasons, but I found it interesting.
