Re: I called a tv channel

I don't think I could ever change channels fast enough to avoid the commercials I don't want to see. Doubtful a phone call or email would help get them removed since they seem to be shown as much or more than the regular programming.

I record most of my programs and rarely watch live.  So tired of commericials and the fact that I record them allows me to fast forward.  Getting worse, annoying most of them.

ITA about the annoying commercials, especially the ones they show over and over constantly everyday. The worst to me are the prescription med ones that use a popular song for their annoying ads like Skyrizi and Ozempic.

Those Medicare commercials are annoying!  And a couple of those AAA commercials are, too.  Balance of Nature and Relief Factor --- they must spend a ton on advertising --- these commercials are shown constantly.  I saw a commercial yesterday I could do without --- don't remember the brand but it was a close up of a woman's hairy armpit showing her using a particular razor!  Really?  Was this necessary?  Ewww --- gross.  And how about the dumb carrot commercial for a particular men's medical problem --- very stupid....  Oddly enough, the LR commercials don't bother me at all.  I kind of get a kick out of some of her funny comments and enthusiasm.

These are called "ad sales" and will not be going away.  You can call all you want, but like you said "they won't be changing a thing."  It's how station's earn money aside from subscription fees if it's on premium cable.

Ads make the world of TV go round.

I was offended by a whole bunch of TV channels in 1998  - haven't watched any of them since!

I once emailed the History Channel suggesting that they rename some of their programs "Historical Fiction."
