@SeaMaiden  Just about everything is made in China. My IPad is made in China and I love it.

@proudlyfromNJ   The Christmas junk is hardly electronics....it is Christmas junk.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but early pre-ordering of food, decorating and entertaining items, as well as gifts, might not be a practical thing to do at this point. There's no indication yet that we will be back to having large gatherings this holiday season. Woman Frustrated

@handygal2  We can have gatherings of up to 50 people. If this continues my Holidays will be ok. I guess your area isn't up to that yet.

There are some products we have no choice in the matter where they are made, such as cell phones, iPads as people often so glibly point out, but that doesn't mean we can't  cut back on buying from China. These two aren't mutually exclusive. Most of us, myself included, have more decorations than we can put out every year. I don't have any plans on buying more, but the CIJ programming doesn't bother me as I don't watch qvc anymore.

I see QVC posters still have no problem insulting another viewer’s purchases.

It has been in the upper nineties here for a month; humidity not far behind. No interest in buying anything related to Christmas right now. DH and I are getting our Christmas fix watching Hallmark Christmas movies in the evenings. Nice diversion since we are having to stay in. I begrudge no one for loving the CIJ event on Q. If you enjoy it, go for it!

I would not even hazard a guess at this point what the holidays will look like. So much of the items they are offering look very familiar to seasons past......I will just pass on it and get ramped up the week of the real Black Friday.

So it really come down to some like Christmas in July and others don't. What's the problem? I will say there is far more non Christmas in July programing that Christmas in July. So for those that don't like watching the holiday shows you should be happy. Frankly I watch so little of QVC it doesn't matter to me. If I see a show that I don't care for, I don't watch it.

  • @QVC nneeds to beat the stores that come out with Christmas items early. This year's with the virus, I don,t think early Christmas will be a problem.
  • I used to have to start Christmas early when family growing up and all the relatives.  Today, I am at peace.  I decorate, but no gift giving anymore.  Christmas doesn 't have That meaning for me.  I give all year individually when I see something a friend of relative might enjoy.  You know the saying, "TO EACH THEIR OWN".
