2 days after Christmas my husband and I made the very painful decision to put my favorite cat to sleep.
She was 17 and with me my entire marriage.
she actually thought I was her mother-she was a little runt when we adopted her-she started suckling and kneading my clothing-oh the saliva she would leave!
the vet said she would always do this and she did.
She was always by my side and was not happy unless she was phisically touching me while I watched tv in bed.
She had bladder cancer and was peeing blood-not cleaning herself and unable to poop. My husband would take it out of her behind and it was almost rock hard like a log sort of.
I have never had to put a cat to sleep. They always died of natural causes.
I looked at her after and I'm not kidding-she looked alive-her head was up.
I feel like a buried a cat that was just sleeping-I know I'm crazy-The logical side of me knows she was more than sleeping-but that's the way she looked-she wasn't hard like the others and with the eyes all wonky etc....
I've been shopping, trying new recipes-but alas my little girl is still in the ground and not with me...........
