For a few decades my TV lived in the closed and was only taken out every Sunday to watch Masterpiece Theater and the occasional other program.  Then it went into hibernation again.

I have always wondered what the Today Show and Good Morning America were like when people talked about these shows at work.  So I decided to start watching one or the other after I retired.  So every morning I have breakfast while watching one of these shows and I found that the TV provides good company.

So today I had to call Comcast because my TV in the living room does not work.  They could not fix it remotely, so a technician has to come and fix it.  Today is Saturday but nobody can come until Wednesday afternoon.  That is more than 4 whole days.

How will I live?   How will I survive this?

I had no idea I had become addicted to watching TV.

I can relate.  Had the same thing happen last winter, after one of the big storms.  I missed my programs !!!

I've been out work for most of the last six months battling cancer.  I've watched way too much television.  News, Kelly and Michael, the judges, Phil, Ellen, the talk, let's make a deal and the list goes on......  I don't know what I'm going to do without my friends when I go back to work Jan 5.  I'll probably have TV withdrawal.

Let's look at the big picture here .....  it's better you're addicted to television than heroin!

Hi CLEM,

If you only have 1 TV set, you are not someone I would see as being even remotely close to a TV  JUNKY!  Just my opinion of course.

Last Thursday my cable box and tv didn't work anymore.

I can get a new one but I wanted to see how it was without it.

It is so quiet!

I am going to have so much work to do soon I won't be able to watch much anyway.
